Midterm Blog

I'm with everyone else who said that time flew and it's already midterms. It seems like our first paper was due yesterday. I have a hard time with English/writing courses and this one is no exception. The blogs, although not hard, still do pose a challenge for me. I don't like sharing my thoughts and ideas. Once you post something it's out there for everyone to read and sometimes what you said isn't exactly what you meant. I am much more of an action person. The papers are problematic because I am an engineering student. I see things in terms of problems and then the solutions to those problems. Descriptions and thoughts don't come naturally to me. But, I understand the importance of writing and communication so I will try my best though this course.

Project Reflections

It was exciting to see how everyone else interpreted this project. My art and ideas were just one avenue in a very broad prompt. After the first half these were a few projects that jumped out at me (sorry I forgot the names and for the informal titles):

the video at the end - Very well put together, had a slight ironic tinge to it in that it was about video media on video media.

the jigsaw puzzle - I liked how it encompassed all four of the freedoms. It showed how although all are separate ideas, they all come together under one big picture.

freedom to choose freedoms flag - Similar to the jigsaw puzzle in that it links all the freedoms. It expands on that but acknowledging the ability we have to choose.
